Modernize It LLC is proud to announce that our Candia Showcase Deck finished third in the country in The Deck Store’s America’s Best Deck Giveaway.The nationwide photo competition invited contractors and homeowners to submit their best outdoor projects, with thousands of people voting for their favorite decks. Finishing among the top three decks in America is an incredible honor for our team and meaningful recognition of the creativity, planning, and
craftsmanship behind this one-of-a-kind project.
A Deck Designed to Stand Apart
We designed the Candia Showcase Deck to push beyond traditional deck construction and create something people had not seen before. Every component was carefully planned, from its geometric decking patterns and contrasting colors to its custom-wrapped columns, lighting, railings, and detailed staircase.
Some of the deck’s most distinctive features include:
- More than 68 individually heat-folded composite staircase pieces
- Four original inlay patterns across the upper deck
- Deckorators Khaya decking with Dark Slate borders and accents
- White PVC wrapping with contrasting black details
- Deckorators Contemporary Black Aluminum Railings
- Integrated TruScapes rail, stair, column, and recessed lighting
Although construction was completed in only 11 days, months of design work
went into developing the patterns, material combinations, and architectural
details that brought the project together.
Voted One of the Best Decks in America
Unlike a traditional competition evaluated exclusively by a panel of industry judges, America’s Best Deck was a public photo competition. People from across the country reviewed the submitted projects and voted for the decks they believed deserved the top spots.
Placing third among projects submitted from across the United States means a great deal to everyone at Modernize It LLC. It shows that the Candia Showcase Deck connected with homeowners, contractors, and outdoor-living enthusiasts beyond our local New Hampshire community.

The Next Step: The NADRA Awards
This national recognition is only the beginning for the Candia Showcase Deck. We plan to enter the project in the 2026 North American Deck and Railing Association Awards when entries open next month.
The NADRA Awards recognize outstanding design and craftsmanship within the professional decking industry. We are excited to have the opportunity to present this project alongside work from some of the most talented deck builders in North America.
The Candia Showcase Deck will also be featured in an upcoming release from Deck Specialist magazine, giving even more people an opportunity to see the details that made this build special.
