This modern 16-by-24-foot deck in Newmarket, NH, was designed to support a hot tub while creating a spacious and visually striking outdoor living area. Deckorators Tundra composite decking covers the main surface, with Dark Slate used as a contrasting border to define the deck’s clean lines. Black Deckorators cable railings complete the contemporary appearance while maintaining open views of the surrounding property.

To safely accommodate the hot tub, the deck was constructed with reinforced beams and footings designed to support the additional weight. We also built matching integrated steps that provide convenient access to the hot tub while blending naturally with the rest of the deck. Tru-Scapes color-changing post-cap and stair-riser lights add visibility and atmosphere after dark. Together, the reinforced structure, two-tone decking, cable railings, built-in steps, and custom lighting create a durable, low-maintenance retreat designed for year-round relaxation.
