This custom deck project in North Reading, Massachusetts features a spacious 28′ x 12′ composite deck with an additional 6′ x 12′ L-shaped extension, creating a versatile outdoor living space perfect for entertaining and everyday enjoyment. The homeowners selected a striking Deckorators color combination featuring Tundra decking accented with a triple-border design in Dark Slate, adding visual depth and a custom high-end appearance. Contemporary Deckorators aluminum railings provide a clean, modern look while maintaining open sightlines to the surrounding property.
A standout feature of this project is the custom-built 20-foot privacy wall, constructed with Deckorators Dark Slate infill panels and finished with a distinctive Pier-style top reaching 6 feet in height. This architectural element provides privacy without sacrificing style and serves as a beautiful focal point for the deck. To extend the usability of the space into the evening hours, we installed Truscape cap and riser lighting throughout the deck and stair system, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere while improving nighttime visibility and safety.
